In 1973, J. Holland began his 43 year career in broadcast journalism, as a high school reporter. His college career at Jacksonville State elevated him to Program Director of WLJS-FM, where he gathered and reported news and sports. At JSU, he was the “Voice of the Gamecocks” baseball during championship seasons. While still in college, Holland worked weekends at WQEN-FM “Q-104” in Gadsden, eventually landing the highly prized 7pm – 12m slot.

 

He has hosted shows on several stations around Northeast and Central Alabama including Birmingham as morning anchor for Clear Channel’s NewsRadio 105.5 WERC. Currently J. Holland serves and the news director and anchor for WKLS-FM Rock 105.9 and can be heard statewide as the afternoon news anchor for YHN News.
